Manufacturing Engineer (Contract)
Location: Pontiac, IL
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38 – $40 an hr
Work Arrangement: On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process improvement initiatives, and production validation activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence, improve manufacturing processes, and support the implementation of new products and process changes.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process-related issues on the production floor.
  • Conduct process validations and assist with the implementation of engineering and process changes.
  • Perform time studies, motion studies, and workflow analyses to establish production standards and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to validate new processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
  • Develop reports, charts, layouts, and workflow documentation to support process improvements.
  • Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
  • Evaluate manufacturing data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support prototype testing, validation activities, and manufacturing readiness assessments.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or machining environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience creating engineering sketches, drawings, and performing technical calculations.
  • Proficiency with CAD or related engineering software.

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing process validation experience.
  • Continuous improvement and process optimization expertise.
  • Experience supporting quality and production teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills within shop floor or production environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
