Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support modern web applications, backend services, and data solutions used by internal analytics and research teams. This role requires strong full-stack development experience with a focus on React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, SQL, and AWS serverless technologies.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer who thrives in a remote environment, communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, and can contribute with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Development
- Design and develop frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript (ES6).
- Build and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Develop REST APIs and microservices to support business applications.
- Create technical designs, documentation, and unit tests.
Cloud & Serverless Development
- Design and implement AWS serverless solutions.
- Develop and support applications utilizing:
- AWS Lambda
- DynamoDB
- S3
- SNS/SQS
- Deploy and maintain applications in AWS environments.
Data & Analytics Support
- Build and maintain ETL and data processing pipelines.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Support reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives.
- Improve data quality and operational efficiency across systems.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with product, research, and program teams.
- Participate in Agile development and continuous delivery practices.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience.
- Advanced experience with:
- React.js
- TypeScript
- JavaScript (ES6)
- Node.js
- Python
- SQL
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on AWS experience including:
- Lambda
- DynamoDB
- S3
- SNS/SQS
- Experience deploying applications to AWS.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated API and E2E testing.
- AWS CDK or CloudFormation experience.
- Event-driven architecture experience.
- CI/CD and DevOps automation experience.
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
- AWS or related cloud certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
