Software Engineer Team Leader 
Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Duration: Contract through January 2027, Contract to Hire Position
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $85 per hour

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and technically minded professional to support a portfolio of cybersecurity engineering initiatives. This role will partner closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and project leaders to help drive priorities, coordinate multiple in-flight projects, and ensure successful delivery of key technology solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and leadership skills with a technical background and experience working in Agile environments. This individual will help manage project execution, facilitate collaboration across teams, and support efforts focused on improving security-related processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support multiple concurrent technology and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to define priorities and track progress.
  • Facilitate planning, estimation, and delivery activities across projects.
  • Monitor application and project performance and help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with process optimization, compliance-related initiatives, and remediation efforts.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and communication plans.
  • Support Agile ceremonies and promote best practices across teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and software quality initiatives when applicable.
  • Help remove blockers and ensure teams remain aligned with project objectives.
  • Leverage tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Excel to manage work and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, product ownership, technical analysis, project leadership, or related technology roles.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience leading projects, teams, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity or security engineering initiatives.
  • Background in process management, team leadership, or people management.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
  • Programming experience, particularly with .NET/C#.
  • Experience with test-driven development and software quality practices.
  • Familiarity with design patterns and modern application development methodologies.
