Workstation Analyst III
Hybrid in Jackson, MI, Ongoing contract position
Rate: $40-$45/hour
Job Details:
The Client Health team within the Digital Workplace Services (DWS) department works exclusively within the Windows desktop environment and is responsible for supporting internal customers across multiple locations throughout the territory. The EUC (End User Computing) Engineering team (within the BPS team) includes dedicated resources to choose new desktops / laptops, base platform development, software packaging/distribution, and Group Policy management.
Serve as System Center Configuration Manager Administrator, responsible for performing all aspects of SCCM application packaging, deployment, support and maintenance of applications
Skills:
– Extensive experience in the implementation, administration, configuration and support of SCCM Enterprise environment.
– Experience with desktop deployment automation architecture, design/migration and troubleshooting.
– Experience managing an OS image for large corporate environments.
– Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise desktop technologies.
– Knowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems.
– Packaging, Deployment, and Administration of Packaged Applications
– Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company’s business needs and strategic objectives.
– Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to other IT groups.
– Functional working and debugging knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
– Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences.
Education and Experience:
One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor’s degree in a Business/Information Systems discipline for 3 years general experience.
