Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Horicon, WI (Onsite)
Shift: 1st Shift, 40 Hours Per Week
Pay: $39 – $41 Per Hour
Position Type: 12-Month Contract
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support quality planning, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with suppliers, engineering teams, and production personnel to ensure product quality standards are achieved throughout product development and current production programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier quality planning activities for new product development programs and current production.
- Participate in and facilitate quality-focused activities including FMEA, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, risk assessments, and root cause investigations.
- Drive supplier corrective actions utilizing 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and resolve supplier-related quality concerns.
- Review and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure effective execution of quality processes including Supplier Change Requests (SCRs), Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs), and supplier improvement activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply management, and supplier teams to improve product quality and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience utilizing quality tools such as:
- FMEA
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Root Cause Analysis
- Corrective Actions / 8D
- Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with data analysis and statistical techniques used to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supplier Quality Engineering experience.
- Supplier audit experience.
- Experience with DPARs and design reviews.
- Knowledge of SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience supporting agricultural, heavy equipment, utility vehicle, or related manufacturing environments.
