Job Title: Behavioral Health Coordinator
Contract Duration: 1 year, possible extension

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Summary
The Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible for providing support to members and physicians regarding case management and outpatient services. This role serves as a key point of contact for inquiries, conducts outbound calls, schedules appointments, performs research, completes data entry, resolves issues by collaborating across departments, and supports behavioral health case management and outpatient clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to members and physicians related to case management and outpatient behavioral health services.
  • Respond to member and provider inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct outbound calls to members, physicians, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate care-related activities.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support member needs and clinical operations.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within automated systems.
  • Resolve member and provider issues by working collaboratively across departments.
  • Support behavioral health case management staff and outpatient clinicians with administrative and coordination activities.
  • Assist with departmental functions and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • One (1) year of college and two (2) years of experience with automated systems, or three (3) years of experience with automated systems.
  • One (1) year of experience working with managed care systems.
  • Experience coordinating member needs, providing assistance to members, and analyzing member needs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience working with databases and/or PC applications.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
