Energy Program Manager
Location: Providence, RI – Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Compensation: $28-30 per hour with benefits
Overview
Epitec is seeking an experienced Energy Program Manager to support the development, implementation, and management of clean energy initiatives. This role will be instrumental in driving energy projects from concept through completion while supporting outreach, communications, stakeholder engagement, and program operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach & Communications
- Conduct outreach to key stakeholders to promote program initiatives and build project pipelines.
- Develop communications materials including reports, presentations, web content, and stakeholder contact lists.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with stakeholder groups.
- Support the creation of reports, program data visualizations, social media content, and public-facing communications.
Project Management
- Manage weekly project meetings, including scheduling, agendas, meeting notes, action tracking, and follow-up.
- Ensure project deliverables and timelines are met while managing stakeholder and contractor expectations.
- Coordinate project documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and related materials.
- Facilitate communication among engineers, utility representatives, contractors, facility managers, and other project stakeholders.
Program Support & Coordination
- Organize and coordinate meetings with public stakeholders.
- Support outreach efforts and logistics for various program initiatives.
- Represent program initiatives at public events, conventions, expos, and community engagements as needed.
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess project progress, troubleshoot issues, gather data, and document project activities.
- Analyze, track, and distribute program data to support successful program outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide general support to the broader team and assist with special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading meetings and presenting information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the energy industry.
- Background working in a governmental, public sector, or regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with clean energy programs, project implementation, or sustainability initiatives.
