Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract (12 months)
Pay: $60 per hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to support a large-scale healthcare eligibility systems modernization initiative. This role will play a key part in validating critical enterprise applications, supporting ongoing system enhancements, and contributing to a cloud migration effort involving legacy mainframe applications and AWS infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software quality assurance, test strategy development, requirements analysis, defect management, and enterprise application testing. Experience working within highly regulated environments such as healthcare or government organizations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies.
  • Participate in requirements reviews, JAD sessions, and technical walkthroughs.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify deficiencies in requirements, business rules, and testing approaches.
  • Design, develop, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated testing activities to validate software releases.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and provide root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Produce clear test documentation, including test plans, test results, and summary reports.
  • Monitor testing progress and provide regular status updates and metrics reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with established QA methodologies, standards, and procedures.
  • Support multiple testing initiatives while meeting project timelines and quality objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • Smoke Testing
    • Black Box Testing
    • White Box Testing
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into test cases.
  • Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, public sector, or government environments.
  • Experience supporting eligibility, enrollment, benefits, or healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience working with IBM Mainframe environments.
  • Exposure to legacy system modernization and cloud migration projects.
  • Familiarity with Natural/Adabas environments is a plus.
