Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, identity management, endpoint management, virtualization, backup and recovery, storage, and hybrid/cloud environments.

This is a hands-on technical position requiring broad systems administration experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and improving system reliability, security, recoverability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, patch, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and related collaboration, security, and compliance services.
  • Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, Group Policy, MFA, LDAP, hybrid identity, directory synchronization, permissions, and authentication issues.
  • Support endpoint management using Microsoft Intune and/or MECM/SCCM, including application deployment, Windows servicing, compliance settings, and policy administration.
  • Administer enterprise virtualization environments such as VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, or comparable platforms.
  • Provision and maintain virtual machines, templates, snapshots, hosts, and clusters.
  • Administer Druva or comparable enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including backup policies, retention, monitoring, restores, and recovery testing.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
  • Support enterprise storage and file services, including SAN, NAS, cloud storage, file shares, permissions, capacity, and performance.
  • Administer core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, PKI/certificates, service accounts, and related server utilities.
  • Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and configuration management.
  • Use PowerShell and other scripting tools to automate administrative tasks, reporting, bulk changes, and routine operations.
  • Monitor system health, logs, infrastructure alerts, backup status, utilization, and service availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex Tier 2/Tier 3 issues involving servers, authentication, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management.
  • Support migrations, upgrades, server refreshes, platform changes, and infrastructure lifecycle projects.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, inventories, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, cloud, storage, application, database, help desk, and vendor teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise systems administration, Microsoft platform, server, or infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Microsoft-based enterprise environments.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Group Policy
    • DNS/DHCP
    • Windows Server
    • Identity and access management
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and/or MECM/SCCM.
  • Experience supporting enterprise virtualization/hypervisor technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery, including backup policies, restores, retention, monitoring, and recovery validation.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to independently manage both operational issues and planned infrastructure work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Druva experience or experience with comparable enterprise backup/data-protection platforms.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, or similar virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with clustering, high availability, VM templates, snapshots, host maintenance, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with Entra ID, AD Connect, MFA, and hybrid identity.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
  • Experience with SAN, NAS, cloud storage, file services, replication, and snapshots.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable public-cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of PKI/certificates, privileged access, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, logging, and audit requirements.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM tools.
  • Linux/UNIX administration experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix, Druva, Azure, or related certifications are beneficial but not required.
