Production Scheduler (3rd Shift)

Pay: $32.00 – $34.00/hour
Location: Davenport, IA
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Occasional Saturday Overtime Required

Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Scheduler to support manufacturing operations in Davenport, IA. This role is responsible for scheduling production activities, coordinating material flow, analyzing production requirements, and ensuring manufacturing schedules are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with operations, engineering, and production teams.

This position supports laser cutting and forming operations and requires approximately 50% of time spent on the production floor and 50% in an office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production and service parts to support manufacturing requirements
  • Expedite production and purchased parts to maintain schedules
  • Coordinate parts and materials across multiple departments
  • Support engineering and material change implementation activities
  • Analyze future production requirements and capacity needs
  • Maintain and plan kanban systems and calculate kanban quantities
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct inventory integrity audits
  • Perform production and scrap reporting activities
  • Support workforce planning and production scheduling strategies
  • Utilize data analysis to identify trends, constraints, and scheduling improvements
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to meet production goals
  • Work independently with minimal direction while supporting team objectives

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field with 1+ year of scheduling experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor

Preferred

  • SAP experience
  • Manufacturing scheduling experience supporting fabrication, laser cutting, forming, or similar operations
  • Experience with inventory control, kanban systems, and production planning methodologies
