Job Description:
AI Governance Review Consultant
This role supports the day today execution of AI governance reviews—from intake and triage through risk assessment and final approval—coordinating closely with technology, security, data privacy, legal, and business stakeholders. The contractor ensures timely, high quality assessments, clears backlog by following up on incomplete submissions, and looks for technology enabled ways to make the intake & review process more efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities (what success looks like)
· Support workflow management: develop schedules, track milestones, prepare agendas/materials, support metrics reporting and report use case progress/status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
· Enable the AI Use Case Review Process through the following actions: 
· Run intake & triage: validate submissions, classify inherent risk, route to correct path, and shepherd items from initiation to approval with clear status updates by documenting findings and recommending targeted mitigations;
· Coordinate with SMEs to incorporate their evaluation/inputs and ensure comprehensive review coverage.
· Leverage your baseline understanding of Responsible AI principles to facilitate conversations between requesters and SMEs
· Remove workflow blockers through the following actions:
·  Follow up with business teams to resolve incomplete or unclear submissions to drive items to closure.
·  Facilitate cross functional alignment across Security, Data Privacy, Legal, Architecture, and product/business teams to unblock issues and converge on decisions.
Identify, create, and pilot process enablers (e.g., light automation, template creation, metrics dashboards) that improve efficiency and consistency in AI Governance execution.

Required Skills & Experience (must haves)
· 5-7 years of experience in technology, governance, compliance, risk management, security, business process analysis or related fields; Handson experience in risk reviews or governance workflows (technology, security, or data governance contexts preferred).
· Excellent communication and facilitation skills; effective working with both business and technical teams.
· Experience building trackers/dashboards (e.g., Excel/SharePoint lists, Power BI) to visualize pipeline and cycle times.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Copilot) for analysis, communication, documentation and reporting.
· Demonstrated curiosity for AI and commitment to its responsible use; Working knowledge of AI principles and governance frameworks; awareness of ethical considerations and emerging practices (plus).
Nice to Have Qualifications:
· Comfort in building necessary solutions with available tools (e.g., SharePoint Copilot Agents to extract information from SharePoint lists)
· Exposure to model/GenAI risk topics (e.g., data handling, evaluation, monitoring).
· Prior experience in regulated or risksensitive environments.
Day to Day Activities:
· Support Communications: Prepare stakeholder readouts and meeting materials; capture decisions and next steps.
· Support Process Management: Maintain a clean pipeline with SLAs, aging, and status tags; escalate blockers with context; Review submissions for completeness; request missing evidence (security
