Schedule: On-Site Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM; Rotating Saturday Shift 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
Pay Range: $20 – $22 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support Transportation Operations within the client’s Supply Chain organization at its Laredo manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for helping move, track, and monitor inbound domestic and international freight to ensure materials arrive on time to support production. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and a passion for logistics and supply chain operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with transportation, logistics, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within one of the world’s leading manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and trace inbound transportation shipments from suppliers to the manufacturing facility.
- Analyze transportation data and reporting to support supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with carriers to resolve transportation and delivery issues.
- Support inbound dock scheduling and transportation execution activities.
- Maintain project communications, business metrics, and transportation records.
- Review transportation-related reports and analyze operational trends.
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and process documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, material planning, suppliers, and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Utilize SAP and other business systems to support transportation and logistics operations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiency initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internship experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data mining.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with data, reporting, and business metrics.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or transportation analyst-related roles.
- Knowledge of business process documentation and reporting practices.
- Understanding of transportation operations, freight management, and supply chain workflows.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
