CNC Operator / CNC Router Operator
Job Type: W2 Contract
Contract Duration: 3 Months, Possible Extension
Location: El Segundo, California 90245
Work Setting: Fully Onsite
- 50 hours per week
- 10 hours per day
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a Quick and Efficient CNC Operator to support new production needs in a fast-paced, high-volume trade show production environment. This role involves operating CNC equipment, creating designs from rough drawings, and building finished products using a variety of materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate in-house CNC machines and production-style CNC routers.
- Design and develop items for final production using software and rough sketches.
- Build products using wood, MDF, plastics, metals, and other materials.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience operating production-style CNC routers.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator CC including design, layout, and editing functions.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and other productivity software.
- Understanding of display, product, and industrial design concepts.
- Ability to use hand and power tools proficiently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC vision cutting systems such as:
- MultiCAM / Multi-Vision
- ESKO / i-Cut
- Similar CNC vision-cutting equipment
- Experience with large-format laminating and graphics production.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Associate degree or trade school completion with relevant experience will be considered.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends during peak production periods.
- Personal tool kit required.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
