Content Developer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Onsite)
Pay Rate: $24.14/hour
Duration: 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension


Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Content Developer to support the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal knowledge base content and operational procedures. This role is responsible for developing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports customer care operations. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent analytical skills who can manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
This hybrid position is based in Austin, Texas and requires regular onsite collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, review, and publish knowledge base articles, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Update existing content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Validate information with subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze content requests and identify opportunities to eliminate duplicate or conflicting information.
  • Partner with project teams to determine documentation impacts for new initiatives and business updates.
  • Track content deliverables and ensure documentation is completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with training and learning teams to ensure materials are available for organizational readiness and project launches.
  • Manage multiple projects and content requests simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational style guidelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in content development, technical writing, knowledge base writing, or documentation management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and determine relevant content requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively navigate ambiguous situations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and documentation tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, processes, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate communications, technical writing, or knowledge management.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience supporting customer service, retail operations, or customer care environments.
  • Experience working with global and virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management platforms and content publishing tools.
