Epitec is seeking to hire a highly skilled Controls Software Designer to support a major Tier-1 automation integrator supporting large OEMs and automotive suppliers in Toledo, OH. This individual will design, program, commission, and troubleshoot advanced automation and controls systems within major manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong Siemens Cars experience, extensive controls programming expertise, and the ability to independently drive projects from design through commissioning.

Responsibilities

Design and commission electrical and fluid control systems.

Develop software and controls solutions for:

Welders

Robots
-
Assembly systems
-
Conveyance systems
-
Transfer systems
-

Create software programming documentation and maintain controls standards.

Troubleshoot system connectivity and integration issues.

Commission and debug equipment at build shops and customer facilities.

Support equipment startup and production launch activities.

Lead and coordinate technical project tasks.

Manage project resources and monitor the work of assigned personnel.

Make autonomous technical decisions based on project requirements and experience.

Ensure systems meet customer performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
