Medicaid Project Manager – RHTP

Overview
Epitec is seeking an experienced Medicaid Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and operational execution of Medicaid-funded healthcare transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic project leader with deep Medicaid experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional programs within public-sector healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management and operational implementation of Medicaid RHTP-funded initiatives to support strategic program objectives.
- Manage business operations, workflows, and project activities supporting the Medicaid RHTP Sustainability Plan.
- Develop and implement system and business processes necessary for successful project execution.
- Oversee operational readiness, risk identification, and mitigation strategies to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor project priorities and escalate critical issues and key decision points to leadership as appropriate.
- Collaborate with CMS, state agencies, and other stakeholders to support program goals and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Prepare presentations, reports, executive briefings, and project documentation.
- Drive coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting government-funded healthcare programs, including Medicaid or similar public-sector initiatives.
- Strong project management experience with complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Experience in business analytics, operational planning, and organizational readiness.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects across multiple agencies and functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as MPH, MPA, or related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicaid programs and regulations.
- Experience supporting healthcare transformation, innovation, or grant-funded initiatives.
