Job Title: Customer Account Analyst I
Location: Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, Orlando, FL
Job Type: W2 Contract – 6 months, possible extension
Pay: $25.01-$29.06/hr


Position Description:

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for utility customers by analyzing billing data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining customer account records. This role works within Customer Information Systems (CIS) to research issues, perform billing adjustments, and ensure compliance with company policies and billing standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve billing, usage, and meter data exceptions to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate meter anomalies and perform necessary billing corrections
  • Review and validate billing statements before release to customers
  • Resolve customer requests related to billing issues, adjustments, and meter concerns
  • Process account adjustments (credits/debits) and correct billing errors
  • Identify and resolve incomplete service orders (move-in/out, disconnects, reconnects)
  • Ensure accounts are billed correctly based on cycles, rates, and service agreements
  • Maintain accurate customer records and support receivables balancing

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of customer service or call center experience handling complex account issues in utilities, water/power
    OR
    Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with billing systems, customer records, and financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to perform calculations (rates, ratios, adjustments)
  • Knowledge of utility billing concepts (meter data, rates, tariffs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Oracle Customer Care & Billing, Meter Data Management, or similar systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
