Senior Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer

Job Type: Remote, contract  

Expected hours per week: Full-time on-going contract, 40 hours per week 

Pay Range:  $105.00- $107.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Full Stack Engineer to join a team focused on building next-generation identity, access management, and risk detection solutions. This role requires a strong combination of data engineering, backend development, cloud technologies, and application monitoring expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low-latency APIs and cloud-native solutions within AWS.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows.
  • Develop and enhance applications supporting identity, access, and risk management initiatives.
  • Create and optimize GraphQL APIs and backend services.
  • Work with DynamoDB and other cloud-based data storage technologies.
  • Implement monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices across applications and platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design new systems and improve runtime performance and developer workflows.
  • Contribute across both full stack development and data engineering initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering and/or data engineering experience.
  • Strong AWS experience.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or C#.
  • Experience building APIs and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with DynamoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL, or large-scale data processing.
  • Expertise in monitoring, observability, and production support best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience.
  • Identity Management or cybersecurity-related experience.
  • Experience building risk detection, security, or access control solutions.
  • Previous experience in large enterprise cloud environments.
