Design and Release Engineer
Warren, MI (Hybrid)
W2 CONTRACT ONLY
1st shift: 9AM – 5PM | M-F
$50-55/hr
DESCRIPTION:
- Lead regular Product Development Team to manage issues related to the product engineering of Exterior Hardware mechatronic components
- Author Engineering Change Requests to update the designs of these parts for quality and cost improvements.
- Track and reduce warranty associated with these parts.
- Follow up with suppliers and internal personnel to assure that targets are met on time.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of product design and experience with tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, DFMEA, GD&T, DFSS, and change management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vehicle closures, including side doors, front/rear closures, and tailgates
