Summary
A DevOps Engineer in this role is responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud and containerized environments, and driving automation to ensure smooth, reliable deployments while applying strong DevOps, DevSecOps, and Agile principles. The position blends hands?on engineering with solution design, requiring expertise in Azure, Terraform, Git/GitLab, scripting, REST APIs, virtualization, and security checks across pipelines. The engineer collaborates closely with customers and internal teams to refine requirements, optimize system performance, and uphold enterprise security standards, while demonstrating strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. This role supports both operational excellence and strategic technical initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines
- Manages cloud infrastructure and containerized environments
- Implements monitoring, logging, and alerting

- Working knowledge of Azure and Azure PaaS services
- Working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and primarily DevOps development methodologies
- Normally determines technical objectives of assignments. Exercises latitude in approach to solutioning
- Knowledgeable in managing software code projects and conducting management of said projects
- Experience with Automation in testing or orchestration
- Experience with tools such as Terraform, Git, Gitlab
- Knowledgeable in CI/CD in relation to Gitlab, Azure DevOps, and/or similar platforms
- Exposed to security checks in CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of virtualization and container technologies (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Ability to contribute to dev ops workflows via scripting and other regular system administration activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of scripting languages
- General exposure to how key networking components operate/function, primarily firewalls and load-balancers/reverse proxies such F5 LTM/GTM or Azure native services
- Provide system performance optimization, maintenance and production support (if escalated to)
- Refine conceptual system requirements into a technical design consisting of job flows and program specifications
- Understand customers’ business objectives and system requirements and work closely with customers to determine their strategic requirements and measure performance against expectations. Assist in customer resolutions
- Responsible for staying abreast of new developments in technologies and making recommendations as appropriate
- Applies enterprise security policies and standards when performing all operational duties
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
- Knowledge of software coding
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle management tools
- Organized, on-time, quick learner and detailed oriented
- Excellent documentation skills in delivering information that adds value to managements decision-making process
- Experienced in quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills
