CAD Drafter / Mechanical Drafter
Job Type: W2 Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months, Possible Extension
Location: Skaneateles, NY 13153
Work Setting: Fully Onsite, 40 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr.
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with experience in SolidWorks and mechanical drafting. This role will support the creation and maintenance of technical drawings while ensuring compliance with drafting standards and file configuration requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Apply drafting standards and best practices to engineering documentation
- Interpret and develop mechanical drawings and designs
- Maintain drawing file configurations and document control standards
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support project requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Associate’s Degree in a drafting-related discipline or 3+ years of drafting experience
- Technical education in mechanical drafting and mathematics, or equivalent hands-on experience demonstrating drafting and mathematical skills
- Intermediate knowledge of drafting techniques and CAD software
- Experience using SolidWorks
