Pay Range: $46.5-$49.82 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Welding Manufacturing Engineer to support 3rd shift fabrication and welding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production performance by providing technical support for welding processes, manufacturing systems, equipment, and personnel. The successful candidate will work closely with operators, maintenance teams, and production leadership to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support during 3rd shift production operations.

Support operators, maintenance personnel, and production leadership to resolve manufacturing and process-related issues.

Troubleshoot and optimize manual and automated welding systems to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Support robotic welding operations, including programming, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

Diagnose and resolve Manufacturing Execution System (MES) issues impacting production.

Train and support production operators on welding processes, equipment, quality standards, and best practices.

Implement, validate, and sustain new and existing manufacturing processes.

Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering records.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

Track, document, and communicate production issues, corrective actions, and project progress.

Respond to production needs during overtime and weekend operations as required.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a production environment.

Experience with manual and automated welding processes.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in manufacturing settings.

Ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to document work and follow up on production issues and work tickets.

Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and make sound decisions in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotic welding systems, particularly Fanuc robotics.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Experience supporting fabrication, welding, or heavy manufacturing operations.

Familiarity with process development, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment

Primarily supports 3rd shift manufacturing operations (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
