Electrical Engineer

? Pay: $40.00–$48.50/hour ($83,200–$100,880 annually), depending on benefits
Job Summary
The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
- Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
- Estimate time and cost to complete projects.
- Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.
- Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience (relevant internships count).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Mechanical, Agricultural, Automotive, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Cross-functional communication.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and launching electrical and electronic systems for mobile equipment applications.
- Experience using Creo for electrical cabling, wiring harness design, and schematic development.
- Knowledge of schematic creation, maintenance, and release processes.
- Practical hands-on technical experience with vehicle electrical systems and related subsystems.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Experience with engineering data management and release systems, including EDS and Teamcenter.
- Experience in the automotive, construction, agricultural, aerospace/aviation, or other mobile equipment industries.
