Job Purpose
Prepare designs, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway street lighting, parking lot lighting, and property/site lighting projects in accordance with OUC policies and standards. Oversee and manage both capital and maintenance projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare design plans, specifications, cost estimates, photometric analyses, and lighting/security studies
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Distribution Engineering, Transmission Engineering) and external agencies (e.g., FDOT, city/county officials) on lighting projects
- Collaborate with developers, field personnel, contractors, and customers to ensure project requirements are met
- Apply relevant standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices in lighting design and construction
- Participate in conferences, seminars, webinars, and training to stay current on industry standards, products, and regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
