Senior AI Security Enterprise Architect
Location: Remote (U.S.) – Central Time Zone business hours required

Overview
We are seeking a Senior AI Security Enterprise Architect to define and govern security architecture for AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise. This role combines enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, and AI expertise to drive secure, scalable, and responsible adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and emerging AI technologies.
The ideal candidate will develop architecture roadmaps, establish AI governance and security standards, advise senior stakeholders, and guide enterprise AI initiatives from strategy through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Develop 1–3 year roadmaps that advance AI security capabilities and future-state architecture.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify, design, and govern AI security solutions.
- Own conceptual and logical architectures across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Drive standardization, modernization, reuse, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned to enterprise objectives.
AI Security Architecture
- Define and champion foundational AI security architecture across the AI lifecycle.
- Develop reference architectures, standards, guardrails, and reusable security patterns for:
- Generative AI
- Agentic AI
- Machine Learning
- Intelligent Automation
- Establish secure-by-design principles covering identity, access management, data protection, model governance, API security, monitoring, and operational controls.
- Guide adoption of enterprise AI platforms and tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, AI Agents, and emerging AI technologies.
- Evaluate AI threats, risks, and vulnerabilities while defining mitigation strategies.
- Partner with cybersecurity, platform engineering, infrastructure, development, and data teams to enable secure AI adoption.
- Ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise security policies, governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and architecture standards.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and AI security thought leader.
- Build relationships across business, technology, security, and vendor organizations.
- Communicate complex architecture decisions and recommendations to executive and technical audiences.
- Influence enterprise standards, governance models, and technology strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Security Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
- Experience developing enterprise roadmaps, target-state architectures, and cross-domain technology strategies.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and modern software engineering.
- Hands-on architecture experience across applications, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security domains.
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of AI security, governance, model security, prompt security, data protection, identity and access management, and operational controls.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, AI agents, AI gateways, vector databases, or AI governance platforms.
- Familiarity with AI threat modeling, model risk management, Responsible AI frameworks, and secure AI development practices.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, SABSA, Cloud Architect, or related AI/Security credentials.
Education
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF preferred.
- Previous architecture leadership or large-scale program leadership experience strongly preferred.
