Summary
Federal Deputy Program Manager (FDPM) position provides mid-level Federal and Systems Integrator Program Management support to Federal Program Manager for one or multiple programs and/or contract vehicles to ensure compliance, minimize risk and maximize contract revenue and profitability. May provide guidance/training to Federal Contracts Administrator levels I, II, and/or III.

What you will do

  • Assist Federal Program Manager with management of full range of customer/partner-facing contracts (e.g., Multiple Award Contracts, IDIQ Contracts, Blanket Purchase Agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Referral Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.). Federal DPM for IDIQ/GWAC/multiple agency complex Agreements.
  • Coordination with contract negotiators/proposal managers, escalate business concerns to Program Manager.
  • Prepare correspondence for contractual changes to existing agreements.
  • Management of various contractual agreements and adhere to specific terms and conditions.
  • Identify changes to contract terms and conditions. Review, determine feasibility, and clarify questions with Government Program Offices. Coordinate with manager, internal departments and Sales. Recommend changes to automated systems. Communicate changes to appropriate internal departments.
  • Draft amendments and responses to contract and other contract-related documents throughout the contract life-cycle. With management approval, finalize and manage response to Government Program Offices.
  • Initiate and respond to requests for major and minor contract changes, product substitutions and/or technical refreshments which are submitted to the Government Program Offices.
  • Monitor delivery and other key elements of CDW/CDW-G and subcontractor performance while coordinating with other CDW/CDW-G departments to ensure that contract requirements are met.
  • Aid in the development of management information system improvements while maintaining backward compatibility. Knowledge of location of all key data elements within the CDW/CDWG systems to maintain business continuity should automated systems fail.
  • Ensure CDW/CDW-G compliance with all applicable contract/agreement terms and conditions, laws, regulations and provisions. Must collaborate effectively with sales to ensure compliance.
  • Awareness of types of issues/concerns requiring escalation, consultation and resolution with Program Manager and aid/recommend resolution.
  • Identification and preparation of requirements and expected outcome for new or changes within an established specialized database, coordinate with Federal PM and collaborate with DBA to determine best course of action. As changes occur, communicate implemented changes to internal departments as appropriate.
  • Prepare contract deliverables and reports per contract terms and conditions. As contract changes occur update any systems and processes to ensure continuous compliance, and minimize risk.
  • Well versed in the applicability of the Federal Regulations affecting the assigned contracts. Stay current with regulation changes. (examples, but not limited to: FAR/DFARS/GSAR). Recommend and implement changes required to internal systems while collaborating with Federal PM and other internal resources.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop one or more coworkers supporting the portfolio of assigned contracts; review the work products; and provide assignments and instruction for assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Government Procurement forms and process (Purchase Orders/Delivery Orders/SF1449/POD/Acceptance/WAWF). Review and identify order issues and implement resolution.
  • Oversight of contract order delivery and invoice reconciliation.
  • Provide consultation, direction, and motivation to other coworkers.
  • Prepare and provide contract training to Sales, and other internal departments and customers.
  • Professionally represent CDW/CDWG while attending customer/industry-facing events. Prepare new presentations to Government Contract Officer and/or product lead and participate in scheduled on-site discussions and events. Will be required to escalate any issues to PM.

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of contracts experience; or 5 years of federal contracts experience
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of standard procurement contracting and proposals process
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop contracting strategies based on this information
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively to solve contract matters and drive desired business outcomes

  • Ability to influence decisions and motivate positive change
  • Impeccable attention to detail and produces high quality work product
  • Experience with handling sensitive, confidential matters appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% or as needed to other CDW locations, meeting and client site

Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed

  • Knowledge of CDW/G Business Systems
  • GSA knowledge desired
  • Served as a team leader or influencer in previous roles
  • Experienced presenter and/or trainer
  • Contract negotiation experience
