Gas Turbine Mechanic / Mechanical Assembler III
Location: Houston, TX
$25.00 per hour
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Approximately 12-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Gas Turbine Mechanic to support the inspection, overhaul, repair, and assembly of rotating equipment in a workshop environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanical professional with gas turbine repair experience who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment and working in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect, assemble, disassemble, and test rotating equipment
- Perform visual inspections and identify equipment deficiencies
- Repair and modify non-conforming components and equipment
- Utilize hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely and effectively
- Operate precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges
- Read and interpret complex mechanical and assembly drawings
- Follow detailed work instructions and repair procedures
- Support overhaul and repair activities while meeting production deadlines
- Utilize ERP systems for documentation and process tracking
- Provide technical support across operations as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of gas turbine overhaul and repair experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- GE10
- PGT10
- PGT25
- Frame 3
- Frame 5
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime and extended hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, Industrial, Energy, or Oil & Gas experience
- Rotating equipment repair and overhaul experience
- ERP system experience
- Strong knowledge of safety and HSE requirements

Ideal Candidate
