Manufacturing Engineer 2 – Mapleton, IL
Location: Mapleton, IL (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3 PM (occasional off-shift work)
Pay: $32–$36/hour + optional benefits (PTO, medical, 401k)
Job Type: W2 Contract with potential to extend or convert
Are you ready to make an impact in one of the world’s leading manufacturing environments? Our client’s largest foundry is ramping up production and they are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help drive process improvements and support critical projects.

What You’ll Do
- Split your time between hands-on floor work and data-driven analysis.
- Troubleshoot casting defects and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage software and document control (SFMEA/PFMEA) to ensure quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (internship experience accepted).
- Strong skills in problem solving, data analytics, and blueprint/model reading.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with NX or Creo is a plus.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
