Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM | On-Site
Duration: 12-Month Contract + possible extension
Compensation: $38.00-$42.00/hour

About the Opportunity
Our client, Caterpillar, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 3 to support production operations and continuous process improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to fuel systems production and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing operations and production processes on the shop floor.
- Develop, validate, and implement process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process evaluations to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Prepare reports, process documentation, workflow diagrams, and engineering recommendations.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Support process validation activities, testing, and implementation of production changes.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and work with operators to maintain process stability and quality standards.
- Analyze production data and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing and machining environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
- Experience creating engineering drawings, process documentation, and technical reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with engineering software and CAD applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming and process development experience.
- Experience with hone, OD/ID grinding, and centerless grinding operations.
- Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining automated manufacturing cells.
- Background supporting continuous improvement and manufacturing process optimization initiatives.
