We are seeking a motivated Material Coordinator II for a long-term 2-year contract opportunity supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for ensuring production materials are available when needed, managing inventory, supporting material planning activities, and working closely with operations and supply chain teams to prevent production disruptions.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in materials management, supply chain, logistics, inventory control, production planning, manufacturing operations, or military logistics.
Responsibilities
- Ensure materials are available to support production schedules
- Monitor and manage inventory levels
- Identify and resolve material shortages and supply issues
- Coordinate material movement and scheduling activities
- Utilize SAP or other ERP/MRP systems to support planning and inventory functions
- Analyze inventory and production data to drive continuous improvement
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
- Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
- Manufacturing or production planning experience
- Previous or current military experience strongly preferred
- Army National Guard, Army Logistics, 92A Automated Logistical Specialist, 92Y Unit Supply Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Supply Specialist, Transportation Coordinator, or similar military supply chain backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Frequent overtime available
- Typical work week of 50+ hours
- Weekend work may be required based on production needs
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite in Davenport, Iowa
- Required PPE, including metatarsal-rated safety footwear
- Must be flexible with overtime and changing business demands
