Material Planner / Material Planning Analyst

Location: San Antonio, TX (On?site – Local candidates only)
Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4/10s)
Current Hours: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Note: The facility is transitioning to mandatory 10?hour shifts. Standard hours previously were 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM with lunch.


About the Role

We are seeking a Material Planner to support the material planning team where Class 6–8 commercial trucks and electric vehicles (EVs) are built. This role plays a key part in ensuring material flow, production readiness, and supply chain accuracy within a fast?paced plant environment.

This is a hands?on, on?site role that requires close collaboration with purchasing, engineering, and production teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production cycle
  • Determine material requirements based on engineering releases and production schedules
  • Coordinate the efficient flow of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams
  • Develop specifications for new contract orders
  • Maintain procurement and supply chain system data integrity
  • Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs), part numbers, and commodity data in enterprise supply chain systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
    OR
  • At least 2 years of experience in shop order planning, material planning, or purchasing

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/plant environment

Work Environment & Safety Requirements

  • Steel?toed shoes required at all times
  • No jewelry permitted (plant safety requirement)
  • On?site manufacturing environment with active production operations

Additional Notes

  • This role requires early start times
  • Mandatory 10?hour shifts are currently in place and will continue as the plant transitions to a 4×10 schedule
  • Local candidates to San Antonio, TX only (no relocation or remote options)
