Job Summary
The Supply Management Planner supports day-to-day materials planning and supply execution within a manufacturing environment. This fully onsite role focuses on maintaining material availability, supporting production schedules, and driving supplier delivery performance through close coordination with internal teams and external suppliers. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Work schedule is a full 8-hour shift, with start times between 6:00am–8:00am CST. No planned overtime at this time; occasional overtime may be required but is typically minimal.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily materials planning and replenishment activities to support production and material availability.
  • Monitor and manage key supply metrics including FILL, On-Time Delivery, FLASH & Backorder Cycle Time, and Delinquencies.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding schedules, delivery commitments, and material status.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, late deliveries, and supply disruptions in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate planning, purchasing, and supplier data within enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based trackers and reports to support planning priorities and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across supply chain, production, logistics, and procurement via email and phone.

Years of Experience and Education

  • 1–3 years of experience in materials planning, supply planning, buying, procurement support, or inventory/material coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entry-level candidates with a recent related degree and strong Excel skills may be considered.

Skills Required

  • Excel – Required (comfort with spreadsheets, tracking, and basic reporting).
  • SAP – Plus (experience with ERP systems for planning or purchasing).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with multiple job functions.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of basic materials planning and buying concepts.
