Network Engineer (Industrial / Plant Networks) – Hybrid (Warren, MI area) | W2 Only | No C2C
We’re hiring a Network Engineer to support industrial and plant network environments and help build deployment tools used across manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with a network lead to troubleshoot network issues, support plant requirements, and improve reliability and standardization across the environment.
What you’ll do
- Support and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet control networks in plant environments
- Build and maintain deployment and support tools to streamline network rollouts and troubleshooting
- Work with Cisco and/or Hirschmann networks and related hardware/software standards
- Collaborate daily with the network lead and broader team to resolve issues and support plant needs
- Occasional local travel to nearby plants may be required
Must-have requirements
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python and C# (required)
- Experience troubleshooting networks with Cisco (ISE) and/or Hirschmann (either is acceptable; both is a plus)
- EtherNet/IP experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience
Nice to have
- Manufacturing or plant environment experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Computer Science is a plus, but not required)
Schedule / Work setup
- Hybrid schedule with onsite work Tuesday–Thursday
- 1st shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Long-term assignment with strong extension potential and possible conversion opportunity
Interview process
- One round video interview (Teams), approximately 30 minutes
W2 only. No C2C.
