Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Location: Clayton, OH
Work Type: Onsite – Full Time (1st Shift)
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay: $51 an hr
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse III to support a high-volume distribution center. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive occupational health services, managing daily clinic operations, and supporting employee health, safety, and wellness initiatives in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational health nursing care for employee illness and injury, including triage and treatment
- Operate autonomously to manage daily clinic functions and administrative responsibilities
- Respond to and support on-site medical emergencies
- Coordinate with external occupational health providers and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate medical records, reporting metrics, and documentation
- Support disability case management and return-to-work processes
- Assist in determining work-relatedness of injuries and ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct DOT drug testing, fit-for-duty evaluations, and OSHA-mandated surveillance exams
- Promote and support workplace wellness initiatives and programs
- Partner with HR, Safety, and Operations teams to support employee health and engagement
- Participate in emergency response activities and special health programs
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- 3–5 years of nursing experience (ER, ICU, or similar acute care background preferred)
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Occupational health nursing experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and workplace health regulations
- Experience supporting HR, safety, or environmental health initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
