Procurement Coordinator
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00/hour
Location: Ankeny, IA
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | Flexible start time at 6:00 AM
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Experimental Parts Procurement Coordinator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating materials, managing inventory, creating manufacturing routings, supporting fabrication processes, and ensuring parts are available for experimental builds. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to solve problems while working with multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds
- Generate programs for fabrication operations
- Review manufactured part prints and drawings
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs
- Coordinate stock transfers between departments
- Communicate with internal teams regarding material movement and availability
- Work with Supply Management on purchased parts and inventory needs
- Prepare daily and weekly reports using Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Troubleshoot part requests and routing issues from engineering teams
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to manufacturing routings and fabrication programs
- Maintain accurate inventory and material records
- Support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing operations
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and prints
- Experience with CREO and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Strong computer skills and overall technical aptitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, CAD, Pre-Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Power BI
- Knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
