Summary

Our client is seeking a Process Technician to support production floor operations by troubleshooting and resolving machine and mechanical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with electronics, automated equipment, and diagnostic tools.

The Process Technician will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency by responding to technical requests, performing repairs, and supporting continuous production flow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to work with advanced manufacturing equipment including robotics, conveyors, and automated soldering systems while contributing to a high-performance production team.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Respond promptly to production floor requests and technical issues

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machines and mechanical equipment

  • Perform hands-on repairs to maintain uninterrupted operations

  • Conduct failure analysis and document findings


Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Work with small robotics, conveyors, and automated manufacturing equipment

  • Support soldering processes and related technical tasks

  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters

  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated soldering stations and material dispensing equipment


Process Tracking & Documentation

  • Track work performed using basic computer systems

  • Document repairs, issues, and root cause findings

  • Support continuous improvement through accurate reporting


Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements

  • Wear metatarsal safety shoes at all times on the production floor

  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturing safety standards


Required Education & Experience

  • 2 or 4-year technical degree 

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering environments


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Hands-on experience with soldering (support to intermediate level)

  • Experience using multimeters and performing failure analysis

  • Familiarity with robotics, conveyors, and automated equipment

  • Basic computer proficiency for tracking and documentation

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments

  • Exposure to automated production systems and robotics

  • Strong problem-solving skills in production settings


Additional Information

  • Approximately 75% of time spent on the factory floor, 25% at a desk

  • Drug screen required
