Job Description:
Procurement Governance & Enablement Manager is a detail-oriented, structured contributor at the heart of Equinix's Procurement function, focused on the policies, processes, and knowledge infrastructure that enable the team to operate consistently and at scale. Accountable for the day-to-day management of procurement policy and process documentation, the upkeep of the procurement intranet and org site, and support to the VP, Procurement on strategic and governance activities.
Responsibilities
Policy Management: Maintain and manage the full suite of procurement policies. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and obtaining stakeholder sign-off, version controlling, and publication. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Compliance to ensure alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Process Design & Documentation: Draft future state procurement processes, ensuring they are lean, logical, and fit for purpose. Produce and maintain supporting documentation — including process flows, SOPs, work instructions, and decision trees that reflects current and target system. Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline, eliminating unnecessary steps and ensuring processes are practical for end users.
Knowledge Management & Enablement Infrastructure: Maintain the procurement intranet/org site as the single source of truth for policies, processes, templates, and guidance.
VP Support & Strategic Enablement: Provide direct support to the VP of Corporate Procurement on selected strategic initiatives, governance activities, and senior stakeholder engagements. Prepare briefing materials, executive summaries, and presentation content. Coordinate VP-led workstreams, track actions, and ensure follow-through handling sensitive information with discretion.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key resource on procurement policy and process across the business. Participate in cross-functional working groups and support audit and compliance reviews with accurate, well-organized documentation.
Change Communication: Support process change management by communicating updates clearly to affected teams, working alongside Training & Communications to keep enablement content current and embedded in onboarding programs.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven background in procurement operations, process design, or governance within a global or complex organization.
Documentation: Strong written communication skills; able to produce clear, structured, audience-appropriate content and maintain rigorous version control.
Knowledge Management: Experience working with knowledge management tools — SharePoint, Confluence, intranet platforms, or equivalent.
Systems: Comfortable working with procurement platforms such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, or equivalent P2P/S2P systems.
Executive Support: Able to prepare polished, senior-audience materials and support VP-level workstreams with minimal direction and high discretion.
Preferred: Experience in a Centre of Excellence or transformation environment; CIPS qualification or equivalent; exposure to indirect spend governance and procurement policy frameworks.
