Product Development Engineer – Detroit, MI (On-Site)

About the Role:
As a Product Development Engineer, you’ll lead product innovation from concept to launch, ensuring market-ready solutions that meet customer needs and business goals. You’ll collaborate across teams, drive continuous improvement, and bridge creativity with practical execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead full product development lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, testing, production, and post-launch support
- Apply advanced engineering principles (CAE, CFD) and conduct design validation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (GD&T, BOMs, CTDs)
- Collaborate with manufacturing for efficient production and cost optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in DFMEA and engineering change processes
- Research and apply emerging technologies (Industry 4.0, IoT, AI, AR, additive manufacturing)
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Product Development, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Certified in GD&T, Root Cause Analysis, Lean/Kaizen/6 Sigma
- Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven, adaptable, and collaborative
