About the Opportunity
Our client, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is seeking an experienced Product Specialist 2 to support the Health Inspection Program. This role is ideal for a technology professional with strong application support, product management, or business systems experience, preferably within a healthcare or public health environment.
This position will begin with three months of onsite training in Augusta, ME. Following the training period, the selected candidate will transition to a hybrid work schedule, with the onsite/remote cadence determined collaboratively between the manager and consultant.
What You’ll Do
- Support and enhance applications used by the Health Inspection Program.
- Analyze business processes and system requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage and improve product functionality.
- Navigate and interpret large volumes of program and system information.
- Provide guidance on system capabilities, enhancements, and process improvements.
- Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Assist with troubleshooting, testing, implementation, and ongoing system support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience as a Product Specialist, Business Analyst, Application Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
- Strong ability to learn and manage complex systems containing significant amounts of information and data.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Healthcare, public health, regulatory, inspection, or Human Services experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in government environments is a plus.
