Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (3rd Shift), Onsite
Pay Range: $31 – $33 per hour
Bonus: $1,000 Attendance Bonus After 90 Days

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Scheduler to support manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, monitoring workflow priorities, collaborating with operations teams, and helping ensure materials and resources are available to meet production demands.

The Production Scheduler will work closely with Supervisors, Engineers, and other operations personnel to support laser cutting and forming operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to manufacturing planning, production control, and supply chain operations while working with a highly collaborative team.

This role requires an individual who can work independently, communicate effectively across multiple departments, and thrive in both office and production floor environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities for laser cutting and forming operations.
  • Monitor production priorities and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, planners, and operations personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Analyze production data and support decision-making through reporting and schedule tracking.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other systems to maintain scheduling records and production information.
  • Support material flow and production planning activities.
  • Spend approximately 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor working directly with operations teams.
  • Identify scheduling constraints and escalate potential issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and scheduling.
  • Assist with additional operations and scheduling duties as assigned.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills

  • SAP experience.
  • Production scheduling experience.
  • Manufacturing planning experience.
  • Production control or operations support experience.
  • Experience working in industrial, fabrication, or production environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field and at least 1 year of scheduling experience preferred.
  • Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of scheduling experience in a production environment will also be considered.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, or production operations highly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working both in an office environment and on the production floor.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Must be willing to support alternate shifts based on business needs.

Work Environment

  • Onsite position located in Davenport, IA.
  • Approximately 50% office environment and 50% production floor environment.
  • Metatarsal safety boots required on the first day of employment.
  • 3rd Shift schedule: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
