Job Title: Production Technician
Schedule: Onsite 6:15am -2:45pm
Location: Westborough, Massachusetts
Contract Duration: 9 months with the possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $20 per hour 

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Production Associate to support the manufacturing of advanced electro-mechanical and robotic equipment. This role may involve hands-on assembly, material handling, inventory support, or a combination of responsibilities based on operational needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies by following work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and parts lists.
  • Gather and organize required tools, materials, and components for production activities.
  • Move, stage, and deliver materials and equipment to production workstations.
  • Operate pallet jacks, carts, handheld scanners, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support kitting, labeling, packaging, and organization of production materials.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation, scanning, and system updates.
  • Perform assembly, repair, rework, and other production-related tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct quality inspections and document production and quality data in manufacturing systems.
  • Follow established safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain adequate inventory and supplies by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Enter production-related information accurately into manufacturing and inventory systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (7+ hours per shift).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Experience using handheld scanners or similar devices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
  • Comfortable working in a mechanical environment and using power tools and related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly experience.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, inventory management, or production tracking systems.
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, part drawings, blueprints, or traveler documentation.
  • Knowledge of material handling best practices, including lifting techniques, staging, PPE, and workplace safety.
  • Experience with labeling, inventory control, and quality documentation processes.
  • Previous experience supporting robotic, electronics, or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments.
