ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client’s Scaled Marketing team powers global policy communications reaching millions of people across email, push, SMS, landing pages, and more. The Production & Tools Manager owns the end-to-end production operation — from brief to launch — managing the production team, enforcing quality standards, planning capacity, and serving as the primary owner of the team’s marketing automation systems and tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the full production queue: intake, prioritisation, build, QA, and launch across all channels (email, push, SMS, in-app, landing pages, forms, and surveys).
  • Set and enforce QA standards covering content accuracy, rendering, audience logic, suppression rules, and personalisation.
  • Manage timelines, capacity planning, and cross-team dependencies to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Translate campaign briefs into clear, actionable production scope; apply GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance requirements without exception.
  • Own marketing automation platforms, templates, and shared infrastructure; map capabilities and gaps and advocate for improvements.
  • Design cross-team handoff processes and educate partners on production workflows, system capabilities, and best practices.
  • Drive a culture of accountability; diagnose production issues methodically and implement lasting fixes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 5–7 years in marketing operations, campaign production, or production management within a high-volume, multi-channel environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with enterprise marketing automation platforms (email, push, SMS, in-app, journey orchestration).
  • Deep knowledge of campaign QA, personalisation logic, and dynamic content for global, multi-language campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance in a campaign production context.
  • Proven ability to manage production timelines, plan capacity, and write production briefs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management; able to influence without authority and communicate tradeoffs to leadership.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and audience troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships.
PREFERRED
  • Advanced SQL; experience with boolean audience targeting and suppression rule design.
  • Familiarity with journey builders, lifecycle automation, and trigger-based campaign logic.
  • Experience designing production workflows, intake systems, or handoff processes.
  • Exposure to A/B testing frameworks and statistical significance.
