Summary
Our client is seeking an NPI Program Manager to support material planning, forecasting, and supply readiness for new product development initiatives. This role plays a critical part in enabling technology development, supply qualification, and factory readiness across complex programs.
This position is ideal for a supply chain professional with experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), program management, and materials execution who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
The NPI Program Manager will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and manufacturing partners to ensure alignment on material readiness and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Materials Planning & Execution
- Lead material planning, forecasting, and readiness for new product introduction programs
- Propose optimized supply plans to support on-time build schedules
- Drive resolution of material constraints and supply gaps
Program & Build Management
- Lead clear-to-build (CTB) readiness for pre-production build phases
- Coordinate with Engineering on build execution and material alignment
- Manage multi-source and alternate source qualification efforts
Budget & Stakeholder Alignment
- Partner with Finance and Engineering to manage materials budget and spend
- Serve as the primary interface across cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners
- Lead regular supply planning meetings with suppliers and manufacturers
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across NPI materials processes
- Identify opportunities to enhance supply planning efficiency and execution
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field, or Master’s
- 5+ years of experience in NPI supply chain, materials planning, or program management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain management
- Strong program and project management skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with OEMs or manufacturing partners
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Agile tools
- Experience with Apple productivity tools (Numbers, Keynote, Pages)
- PMP, APICS, CSCP, or CPIM certification
