IT Project / Program Manager
Location: Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL, or Dallas, TX (local candidates preferred)
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings as needed
Compensation: $65–$69/hr W2 + Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Match

We are seeking an experienced IT Project / Program Manager to lead complex software delivery initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams while driving execution, stakeholder communication, risk management, and program delivery.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of Agile leadership, technical program management, and enterprise software development experience. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, architects, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic objectives.
Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple software development projects and programs from planning through delivery
  • Coordinate Agile teams, stakeholders, and technical resources across the organization
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, forecasts, dependencies, and risk logs
  • Drive stakeholder communication, executive reporting, and program status updates
  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and technical leaders to prioritize work and remove roadblocks
  • Support application modernization, cloud, and data migration initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced project managers and promote delivery best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of Project or Program Management experience
  • 5+ years managing Agile software development projects
  • Experience leading programs within large enterprise organizations
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software testing lifecycles
  • Experience working with data engineering, application migration, or modernization efforts
  • Azure DevOps experience
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

  • PMP certification
  • Scrum Master certification
  • AWS certifications
  • Experience leading global teams and large cross-functional initiatives
