Schedule: 

Monday – Friday, Onsite, (1st Shift- 6:00am–2:30pm) + possible overtime 

 

Pay Range: 

$44.28 per hour

Job Description:  
 

Responsibilities 

  • Become an important member within a highly aligned, effective, quality, manufacturing & operations team. 

  • Provide production support for containment, inspections, quality procedures, and tools to monitor critical processes. 

  • Provide quality planning, control, and improvement (CI) support for operations teams to ensure product quality meets customers’ expectations. 

  • Report defined quality KPI’s through operations teams and management. 

  • Analyze system data & KPI’s to facilitate quality-related discussions with internal and external customers & suppliers to drive corrective action. 
     

What Skills You Need 

  • Background in Engineering (construction, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, logistics, etc.). 

  • 1 or more years of related experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment (excluding internships) 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. 

  • A hands-on mentality and ability to lead with minimal supervision to robustly solve quality issues. 

  • Understanding the Quality Process Controls and the connection to people executing them in a “No Fault Forward” structure. 

  • Understanding of the execution of quality tools such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (5W, 8D). 

  • Adaptability to effectively change priorities to meet business objectives. 
     

What Makes You Stand Out 

  • 1 or more years of related experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment 

  • Experience using standard quality management principles and tools (such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gauge RR, MSA and Capability Studies) 

  • Experience with gear or shaft manufacturing standards, processes, and controls 

  • Experience reading and interpreting complex part drawings, including functional knowledge of GD&T principles and terminology 

  • Experience using advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis 

  • Experience in driving a closed loop corrective action process, including rigorous root cause analysis 

  • Experience in project management; including effectively facilitating, leading, and managing cross functional teams 

  • Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or Minitab software 

  • ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSGB, and/or CSSBB 

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
