Machine Mechanic (Onsite – Green Valley, AZ)
We are seeking a hands-on Heavy Machine Mechanic to support equipment reliability, maintenance, and testing operations at a demonstration and training facility located in Green Valley, AZ (onsite role). This is a 12-month contract opportunity with strong exposure to heavy equipment systems and new product introduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a fleet of heavy equipment and support systems to ensure optimal performance
- Train facility staff on equipment systems, maintenance procedures, and repair processes
- Support pre-production serviceability evaluations as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
- Perform assembly and disassembly of machines, including loading and unloading upon arrival/departure
- Maintain accurate records of equipment, attachments, and parts inventory
- Execute service updates and ensure compliance with operational and contamination control standards
- Collaborate with product groups and internal stakeholders to ensure continued fleet support
Day-to-Day Work:
- Follow and support standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment
- Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to diagnose equipment concerns
- Work closely with a small team of technicians and operations staff in a hands-on environment
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required (technical certifications are a plus)
- Experience with heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Welding experience and/or certification
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics tools, and equipment-related applications
- Background in assembly/disassembly of heavy equipment within construction or mining industries
Additional Details:
- Location: Green Valley, AZ (onsite, full-time)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Duration: 12 months
- Pay: $37 – $39 an hr
