Quality Engineer

? Full-Time, Onsite (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, OT as needed)
? Pay Rate: $43 – $45 an hr
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support internal manufacturing quality initiatives within a growing production environment. This role will focus on machining processes, quality improvement, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support investigations into quality concerns, including scrap, rework, process deviations, and customer-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis utilizing quality tools such as 8D, Fishbone, FMEA, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve process performance and product quality.
- Analyze manufacturing quality data, including defect trends, process capability, SPC data, First Pass Yield, and PPM metrics.
- Create reports and present findings to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce variation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision making.
- Train operators and production personnel on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality standards and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of FMEA, Risk Management, SPC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Experience working in machining, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
