Location: Sanford, NC (On-site, Full-Time)
Duration: 18-Month Contract
Schedule: 40 hours/week | First Shift 7:00AM-3:00PM
Pay Rate:  $28.00/hr
Travel: Up to 25% Domestic Travel

Position Overview

Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Recruiter 2 to support full-cycle recruiting activities across assigned business units and locations. This role serves as the primary recruiting partner to hiring managers, driving talent acquisition strategies, managing candidate pipelines, and ensuring a positive hiring experience from requisition through offer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting, stakeholder management, sourcing strategy development, and candidate relationship management. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand hiring needs and workforce plans.
  • Create and manage recruitment strategies to attract qualified talent.
  • Source, screen, and present high-quality candidates for open positions.
  • Manage candidate pipelines and reduce time-to-fill metrics.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities with sourcing teams, recruiting coordinators, and agency partners.
  • Maintain accurate candidate data and requisition activity within Taleo.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment policies, processes, and employment regulations.
  • Provide regular recruiting updates, metrics, and hiring status reports to leadership.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with global recruiting teams and provide support across regions as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing candidate pipelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret recruiting metrics.
  • Fluent English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High-volume recruiting experience.
  • Additional language proficiency.
  • Strong customer service/client-facing experience.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
