Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Operations Support Associate to provide onsite technical support for a high-volume manufacturing environment in Dearborn, MI. This role will support plant operations by troubleshooting IT infrastructure, manufacturing applications, end-user systems, servers, networks, and operational technology environments. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting mission-critical production systems, responding to incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring maximum uptime within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, operational support experience, and the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to support a multi-shift manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT operations and technical support for manufacturing and business users across the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving applications, infrastructure, operating systems, hardware, networking, and end-user technology.
  • Support manufacturing execution and plant floor systems to ensure operational continuity and production uptime.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT teams and business stakeholders to prioritize support activities and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in incident management activities, including troubleshooting, escalation support, root cause analysis, and business continuity efforts.
  • Serve as onsite technical support for enterprise teams, including server, database, network, and operations teams.
  • Maintain and support Windows and Linux server environments across physical and virtual infrastructures.
  • Support Cisco-based networking equipment and assist with network troubleshooting activities.
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of manufacturing technology solutions and connected devices.
  • Support modernization initiatives involving Industrial IoT (IIoT), mobile technologies, software-defined networking, and Factory of the Future programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, knowledge articles, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership, engineering, controls, quality, finance, and production teams to support business objectives.
  • Assist with workload coordination and support planning as directed by site IT leadership.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support when production schedules require.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of IT Operations, Technical Support, Help Desk, Infrastructure Support, or Operations Support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and operating system issues.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based environments and enterprise IT support processes.
  • Experience supporting end users within a production, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience documenting support procedures and technical solutions.
  • Ability to work onsite in Dearborn, MI.
  • Ability to support flexible schedules, multiple shifts, and occasional weekend production requirements.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing systems, industrial environments, or plant floor technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT), mobile device technologies, Android/iOS platforms, or software-defined networking.
  • Familiarity with incident management, escalation support, and business continuity processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and operational technology environments.
