Job Title: Service Technician
Contract Duration: 1 year, possible extension
Location: Largo, FL
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Shift: Monday-Friday; 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Summary
The Service Technician supports the company’s mission of saving and sustaining lives by performing repair and/or electrical-mechanical testing on in-home dialysis machines and infusion pumps. This role works both independently and as part of a team to ensure devices meet quality and performance standards, following established procedures and documenting all results accurately.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair, assembly, and/or testing of medical devices in accordance with standardized work instructions
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and is properly documented in system records
- Maintain continuous workflow on the service line to meet productivity and yield goals
- Interpret device readings and follow procedures to complete service tasks, escalating issues as needed
- Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
- Support cross-functional operations, including assembly, repair, testing, and shipment preparation
- Conduct inspections and assist with training team members as needed
- Use hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, tube cutters, crimp machines) to assemble/disassemble equipment
- Operate testing equipment and tools to verify device performance within specifications
- Assist with calibration of test equipment when required
- Support packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products
- Receive incoming products and clean/sanitize devices and work areas using approved solutions
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and navigating multiple systems
- Basic math skills required
- Familiarity with hand tools preferred; experience with testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) is a plus
- Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required PPE
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with frequent walking, reaching, and handling tasks
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (up to 42 lbs in shipping roles)
- Comfortable working with cleaning agents and sanitizing solutions
- May occasionally handle devices exposed to bodily fluids
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in electrical/mechanical assembly, repair, or testing is preferred but not required
